Sheldon provides advice and representation to employees, businesses and institutions in both the private and public sector on a wide range of labour, employment, and human rights issues. Sheldon is a fearless and driven advocate who strives to meet client needs by achieving the best results possible.

Sheldon has an extensive background conducting impartial third-party workplace investigations in relation to allegations of workplace harassment, discrimination, and other forms of misconduct.

Sheldon also has experience dealing with a broad range of labour and employment matters, including but not limited to employment agreements, workplace policies, employee discipline and termination, human rights and accommodation, wrongful dismissals, constructive dismissals, employment standards complaints, grievance procedures and arbitrations.

Prior to joining Hyde HR Law, Sheldon articled at one of the largest school boards in Canada where he worked extensively in the areas of education and labour law. Following his articles, Sheldon spent several years honing his skills as a workplace investigator while working for a well-known boutique employment law firm.

When not at work, Sheldon enjoys exercising, attending dance lessons and sporting events, and reading about current affairs and the evolution of law.

Education:

Sheldon obtained his LL.B. from the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom. Prior to attending law school, Sheldon obtained his B.A. in Communication Studies from Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec.
