Thomas Perry is a labour and employment lawyer with a proven track record in advocacy, dispute resolution, and the provision of strategic human resources advice. With previous experience at several leading employment and labour firms, Thomas has developed a sharp and solutions-oriented approach to the complex employment and labour issues that matter most to employers. Thomas also has extensive experience providing employees with expert legal advice and representation in a variety of workplace disputes.
Thomas advises on all areas of employment and labour law. For employers, this includes employee discipline, medical leave management, termination of employment, human rights and employment standards compliance, occupational health and safety, labour relations, and litigation. For employees, this includes severance package evaluation, harassment and discrimination, human rights litigation and wrongful dismissal litigation.
With several years of pre-law/ HR management experience in the transportation industry, Thomas also brings with him a deep understanding of management-side needs in uniquely complex and highly regulated unionized environments.
Thomas attended the University of Toronto, where he was a graduate with high distinction, and the University of Windsor Faculty of Law.
Thomas is also a contributing author to the Accessible Canada Act, the leading Canadian text on disability and accessibility obligations of federally regulated employers.
